Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 ⅓ cups buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, garlic powder, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  • Stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs until smooth.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
