Ingredients
  

For the cake

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs

For the filling

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

For the topping

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional) For added crunch and flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Spoon the peanut butter filling over the chocolate layer in the pan.
  • Pour the remaining chocolate cake batter over the filling, then top with chocolate chips and optional chopped peanuts.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
