  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts Choose firm, bright green sprouts.
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze Adds sweetness and tang.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt Season as desired.
  • to taste Black pepper Season as desired.

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup For added sweetness.
  • to taste Toasted nuts or seeds For added crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clean the Brussels sprouts by removing any yellow or damaged outer leaves and trimming the stem ends.
  • Cut each sprout in half lengthwise and shred them using a sharp knife or food processor.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the shredded Brussels sprouts to the skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  • Sauté for 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender and golden.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over the sprouts and stir to combine, heating through for another 1-2 minutes.
  • If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.
