Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 3 to 4 minutes until the onion becomes soft and fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and brown them on all sides.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the browned chicken and cook for an additional minute.
  • Slowly pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and ¼ cup of soy sauce, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of your chosen herbs, then allow everything to simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Ensure the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Serving

  • Ladle the chicken and rich gravy over mashed potatoes or rice and serve.
  • Optional: Serve with steamed or roasted green vegetables.
