Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices white bread crusts off, cut into 16 triangles
  • 190 grams shrimp shells and tails removed, deveined
  • 1 each egg white
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp ginger finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 Tbsp sesame seeds for coating
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor, combine shrimp, egg white, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  • Spread a generous layer of the shrimp mixture on one side of each bread triangle, about an inch thick.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over the shrimp paste, pressing them down lightly to adhere.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a medium saucepan until hot. Test by dipping a small piece of bread; it should sizzle.
  • Carefully place the shrimp-side down bread triangles into the oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes until golden brown, then flip and fry the other side.
  • Drain the fried toasts on kitchen paper or a cooling rack. Serve immediately for the best texture.
