Ingredients
  

Beef and Aromatics

  • 2 pounds beef tips Cuts such as chuck or round work well.
  • 1 cup beef broth Can be substituted with water mixed with seasonings.
  • 1 onion, chopped Enhances the flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic richness.

Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Optional Thickening

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For thickening the sauce, optional.
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish) Adds color and freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the beef tips inside the slow cooker, cutting them into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic over the beef.
  • Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme, stirring well to combine.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
  • If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the slow cooker for a thicker sauce, cooking for an additional 30 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the hot beef tips over mashed potatoes, cooked rice, or egg noodles.
  • Add steamed vegetables on the side and provide crusty bread for mopping up the sauce.

Notes
