  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken thighs Choose high-quality chicken for best results.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Provides moisture and flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Balances the saltiness.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to your preference.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour 1 cup of chicken broth into the base of the slow cooker.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and stir in 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • Mince 2 cloves of garlic and add them along with 1 teaspoon of onion powder and 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Lay the chicken thighs in the crock pot and coat with the sauce mixture.
  • Cover the crock pot with its lid.

Cooking

  • Cook on low setting for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check the chicken for doneness; it should easily shred with a fork.

Serving

  • Use tongs to remove the chicken thighs from the crock pot, letting excess sauce drip back.
  • Serve over rice or alongside steamed vegetables.
  • Drizzle cooking liquid over the chicken and sides if desired.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or fresh herbs.

Notes
