bell peppers (any color)

ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)

cooked rice (brown or white)

medium
onion, finely chopped

garlic, minced

tomato sauce (plus more if desired)

Instructions
Cut off the tops of each bell pepper and remove the seeds.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Stuff each bell pepper with the meat mixture, packing it slightly.
Place the stuffed peppers upright in the slow cooker. Pour additional tomato sauce over the top if desired.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheese on top if desired. Cover and allow to melt.
Serve warm, garnished as desired.
