Preparation

  • Season the turkey breast generously with salt and pepper.
  • If using garlic, rub minced garlic under the skin.
  • Heat olive oil in the slow cooker (if it has a sauté option) and brown the turkey on all sides.
  • Pour chicken broth around the turkey.
  • Sprinkle fresh herbs and add garlic if using.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
  • Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking.

Serving

  • Slice the turkey and serve with your favorite sides.
  • Reserve the rich broth for gravy.
