Snowman Cupcakes
Delightful cupcakes decorated to resemble cheerful snowmen, perfect for holiday gatherings and winter celebrations.
Ingredients
For the Cupcakes
- 1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs as per the instructions on the cake mix box
- 1/2 cup oil as per the instructions on the cake mix box
- 1 cup water as per the instructions on the cake mix box
- 1 container buttercream frosting homemade or store-bought
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips for the snowman’s eyes
- 1/4 cup orange candy or fondant for the snowman's carrot nose
- 3 large marshmallows or white chocolate for the snowman’s body
- 1 container fondant or colored icing for additional decorations
- 12 pieces cupcake liners for baking
- to taste sprinkles optional, for added decoration
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
- In a large mixing bowl, follow the instructions on your cake mix to create the batter, combining water, oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- Pour the cake batter into the lined cupcake wells, filling each about two-thirds full.
Baking
- Place the cupcake pan in the preheated oven and bake according to the time specified on the package.
- Once done, remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan.
Decoration
- Frost each cooled cupcake generously with buttercream frosting to mimic snow.
- Stack marshmallows for the snowman’s body or use a mix of marshmallows and white chocolate pieces.
- Add mini chocolate chips for eyes and an orange candy or fondant for the carrot nose.
- Use fondant or colored icing to add decorations like scarves or hats.
Serving
- Place each decorated cupcake on a stand or a platter, surround with festive decorations, and enjoy!
