Spaghetti Pie

An innovative twist on traditional spaghetti, this spaghetti pie features a tender spaghetti crust filled with ricotta, beef, and gooey mozzarella!

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • fresh chopped basil optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spray a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions, then drain and let cool slightly.
  • Toss the cooked spaghetti with melted butter, then mix in the egg and grated parmesan cheese.
  • Press the spaghetti mixture into the bottom and sides of the prepared pie dish to form a crust.
  • In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning, then spread it over the spaghetti crust.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Mix in the marinara sauce and spread it over the ricotta layer in the pie dish.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and garnish with fresh basil.
