Ingredients
  

Noodles and Broth

  • 2 packs ramen noodles
  • 4 cups water for boiling noodles

Sauce and Aromatics

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha adjust to spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

Proteins and Vegetables (Optional)

  • 1 cup tofu or 1 pound of ground beef or chicken
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables e.g., bell peppers, spinach, carrots
  • to taste garnishes (green onions, sesame seeds)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a large pot.
  • Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (about 3 to 5 minutes).
  • Drain the noodles in a colander and set aside.

Building the Sauce

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and heat for a minute.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and sriracha, mixing together and allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the spiciness as desired.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the drained ramen to the saucepan and toss to coat the noodles in the sauce.
  • Introduce your choice of protein and vegetables, combining thoroughly.
  • Cook everything together for an additional 3-5 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  • Pour the spicy ramen noodles into serving bowls.
  • Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds before serving.

Notes
