Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Mixture

  • 8 ounces sushi-grade tuna, diced Use the freshest sushi-grade tuna available.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
  • 1 small cucumber, diced
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to balance the flavors.

For the Chipotle Mayo

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

For Assembly

  • 4 pieces tostada shells
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Preparation of Chipotle Mayo

  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chipotle powder, and lime juice. Mix until well blended. Adjust the heat by adding more chipotle powder if desired. Set it aside.

Preparation of Tuna Mix

  • In a separate bowl, mix the diced tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, and lime juice. Gently stir to ensure the tuna is evenly coated.
  • Add diced avocado, green onion, and cucumber to the tuna mixture. Gently fold these ingredients into the tuna, taking care not to mash the avocado.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper, ensuring the flavors balance well.

Assembly

  • Place the tostada shells on a serving platter. Spoon a generous amount of the spicy tuna mixture onto each tostada.
  • Drizzle the chipotle mayo over the top of the tuna.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro for a burst of color and flavor.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the tostadas at their best.

Notes

To store, separate the tuna mixture and chipotle mayo in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Avoid storing assembled tostadas as they can become soggy.
