A quick and flavorful recipe for chicken thighs coated in a sweet and spicy glaze, made effortlessly in an air fryer.

Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 8 pieces bone-in chicken thighs Use free-range or organic if possible.
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil For seasoning the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Sticky glaze

  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce For sweetness and spice.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, drizzle avocado oil over each thigh and sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper evenly, massaging the seasonings into the chicken.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken thighs skin side down in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • While the chicken is cooking, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce in a mixing bowl.
  • After 15 minutes, flip the chicken thighs and baste them with the sticky glaze.
  • Continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Optionally, broil the thighs for an extra 2-3 minutes for crunch.

Serving

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve over jasmine rice with steamed vegetables and drizzle remaining glaze over the chicken.

Notes

Consider marinating chicken thighs for more flavor. Don't overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.
