Ingredients
  

Waffle Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Toppings

  • Whipped cream (optional, for serving)
  • Maple syrup (optional, for serving)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped strawberries.

Cooking

  • Spray the preheated waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray or brush lightly with oil.
  • Pour the batter onto the waffle maker and close the lid. Cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the waffle, and repeat with the remaining batter.

Serving

  • Serve warm with whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup, if desired.

Notes

Store leftover waffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for longer storage.
