Truffle Base

Preparation

  • Crush the sugar cookies in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin or food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed sugar cookies and softened cream cheese. Blend until well mixed.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the truffles for 30 minutes to firm them up.

Coating

  • Melt the vanilla coating or white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-30 second bursts, stirring often until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle in the melted coating until fully covered.
  • Place the coated truffles back on the lined baking sheet and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles before the coating sets.

Serving and Storage

  • Let the truffles cool completely at room temperature, then store in an airtight container.
  • They can be kept fresh in the refrigerator for about one week or frozen for up to three months.
