Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 220g
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature 113g
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar 50g
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, light or dark 150g
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Chunks

  • 25-30 pieces Hershey's Nuggets, chopped
  • to taste Sea salt for sprinkling

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda.
  • In another bowl, cream together the room temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped Hershey's Nuggets until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Scoop about 3 tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
  • Sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie dough scoop, if desired.
  • Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown around the edges and soft in the center.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Notes
