Vegetables

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1 cup sweet and sour sauce Adjust sweetness per preference.

For Frying

  • as needed oil for frying Ensure oil is hot before frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  • Coat the seasoned chicken in cornstarch.
  • Dip the cornstarch-coated chicken into the beaten eggs.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, heat enough oil over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the chicken pieces in the hot oil for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
  • Sauté chopped bell peppers and onions in the same pan until tender.
  • Return fried chicken to the pan and pour in the sweet and sour sauce; stir to coat.
  • Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

Notes
