Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 1 pound 1 pound (450g) steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into thin strips Choose a quality cut for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste

For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces 8 ounces (225g) pasta of your choice (fettuccine or spaghetti recommended)
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving Enhances the dish's flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation of Pasta

  • Start by bringing a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add salt to enhance the flavor.
  • Once boiling, add your chosen pasta and cook according to the package directions until it's al dente, typically around 8 to 10 minutes.
  • When done, drain the pasta and set it aside.

Cooking the Steak

  • In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the thin strips of steak, seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Sear the steak for about 3 to 4 minutes until browned and cooked to preference.
  • Remove the steak from the pan and set aside to rest.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Sauté the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes until the garlic is golden, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the soy sauce and honey, bringing it to a gentle simmer for about a minute.

Combining Ingredients

  • Return the cooked steak to the pan along with the drained pasta.
  • Toss everything together, ensuring each piece of pasta is well-coated in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted into the pasta.

Serving

  • Serve the Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta hot, garnishing with fresh parsley.
  • Add lemon wedges on the side for a fresh burst of flavor.
