Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cooked sweet potato tightly packed
  • 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 2-3 Medjool dates pitted
  • 1/2 inch knob of fresh ginger or 1/4 teaspoon dried ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp hemp hearts optional; for added protein
  • Ice as needed to thicken

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients for a smooth blending experience.
  • In your blender, combine cooked sweet potato, almond milk, 2 Medjool dates, fresh ginger, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, and hemp hearts (if using).
  • Blend the ingredients until very smooth. Taste and add an additional date if you prefer more sweetness. Blend again.
  • Add a generous handful of ice cubes and blend until the ice is completely broken down and incorporated.
  • Once blended to your desired consistency, pour the smoothie into your favorite glass and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Reblend with ice if needed.
