Swiss Mushroom Melt Delight

A hearty sandwich filled with sautéed mushrooms, seasoned ground beef, and melty Swiss cheese, all grilled to perfection.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20 ratio recommended)
  • 4 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Butter for grilling
  • 4 slices Sourdough or Rye Bread
  • 1 cup Sliced Mushrooms fresh and firm
  • 1 tablespoon Oil for grilling
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise or Garlic Aioli
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prep your bread by slicing it if it isn’t pre-sliced.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet with the mushrooms. Break it apart with a spatula and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
  • Spread mayonnaise or garlic aioli on one side of each slice of bread. Place Swiss cheese on each slice.
  • Add a generous layer of the mushroom and beef mixture on top of the cheese, then top with another slice of cheese.
  • Top with another slice of bread and spread butter on the outside.
  • Grill the sandwiches in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.
