Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium apple peeled, cored, and grated
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs adjust according to consistency
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for mixing and greasing
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into small chunks. Place them in a pot of boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes or until tender.
  • While the sweet potatoes cook, peel and core the apple, then grate it using a box grater.
  • Once the sweet potatoes are soft, drain them and mash them in a large bowl.

Mixing

  • Add the grated apple to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix in the breadcrumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg, egg, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Combine the ingredients thoroughly until a dough forms.
  • Use your hands to shape the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.

Baking

  • Place the patties on a greased baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving, and enjoy!
