Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Spoon and leveled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup toffee pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark, based on preference

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown, stirring frequently.
  • Remove the browned butter from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Mixing the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the toffee pieces and chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop rounded scoops of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet with space between each.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers appear soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
