Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pasta (tagliatelle or fettuccine) Choose your favorite type of pasta.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated For a creamy finish.
  • 1/2 stick Butter Unsalted or salted, depending on preference.
  • 1 oz Fresh Black Truffle Or more for garnishing.
  • 1 handful Fresh Parsley, chopped For added freshness.
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Pepper

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it generously, about 1 tablespoon.
  • Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, aiming for al dente.

Preparing the Sauce

  • Grate the Parmesan cheese and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a heavy-based skillet over low heat.
  • Once melted, grate in about three-quarters of the black truffle and stir to combine.
  • Remove skillet from heat to release the truffle's aroma.

Combining and Serving

  • Reserve about half a cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
  • Stir the drained pasta into the skillet with the truffle and butter mixture, adding 1/4 cup of reserved pasta water.
  • Mix gently over low heat, adding more water if the mixture is too sticky.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra grated truffle.

Notes

For an artistic presentation, plate the pasta in a warm, shallow bowl; consider garnishing with olive oil for extra flavor.
