Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with Greek yogurt or plant-based alternatives for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

For the Aromatics

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream and stir to combine, allowing the sauce to thicken for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in lemon juice and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Combining and Serving

  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
