Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce

  • 1 package 16 ounce package uncooked fusilli pasta
  • 1 jar 15 ounce jar Alfredo sauce

Meat and Spices

  • 1 package 16 ounce package Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage
  • 1 teaspoon blackened or Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (or to taste)

Garnish

  • 1 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the fusilli pasta according to the package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water until tender but slightly firm, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • While the pasta cooks, slice the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch-thick pieces and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat, then add the seasoned sausage slices. Cook until golden brown and fragrant, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Pour the Alfredo sauce into the skillet with the sausage and let it heat through for a few minutes.
  • Add the chopped parsley and hot sauce to the skillet, stirring until well combined.
  • Once the pasta is cooked and drained, toss it in the skillet with the sauce mixture until well-coated.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley.

Notes

Consider serving with garlic bread and a light salad. Customize the heat level by providing extra hot sauce at the table.
