  • 2 cups chicken broth Use low sodium if desired.

  • to taste salt and pepper Season to preference.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Makes the chili creamy.

Preparation

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes until translucent.
  • Add ground turkey, break it into smaller pieces, and brown for about 5 to 7 minutes until fully cooked.

Cooking

  • Stir in diced green chilies and drained white beans.
  • Pour in chicken broth, add cumin and chili powder, and stir to combine.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve warm in bowls with desired toppings like shredded cheese, diced avocado, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.
  • Optionally, serve with crusty bread or warm corn tortillas on the side.

Notes

For a thicker consistency, blend a portion of the chili before adding the heavy cream. This chili keeps well in the refrigerator and may taste better the next day.
