  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Sifted before measuring for accuracy.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the sifted all-purpose flour, mixing just until incorporated.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
