Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain yogurt use full-fat, low-fat, or non-dairy yogurt based on preference
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced wash and slice
  • 1 cup blueberries wash thoroughly
  • 1 cup diced pineapple wash and dice
  • 1 cup diced apples wash and dice
  • 1 whole banana, sliced wash and slice
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (optional) for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) for flavor
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional) for crunch
  • to taste fresh mint leaves (for garnish) adds color and freshness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash all fresh fruits thoroughly. Slice strawberries, dice pineapple and apples, and slice the banana.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the prepared fruits. If using fruits that brown easily like apples and bananas, consider adding a splash of lemon juice.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the plain yogurt with honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract, if using. Stir until well combined.

Mixing

  • Pour the yogurt mixture over the fruits in the large bowl. Gently fold the yogurt into the fruits, careful not to mash them.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or syrup.
  • For added texture, sprinkle chopped nuts over the top and gently mix them in.

Serving

  • Transfer the salad to serving bowls or keep in the mixing bowl for family-style serving.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best consumed within 1-2 days. Combine yogurt and fruits just before serving to prevent sogginess.
