Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine active dry yeast, brown sugar, and warm water. Whisk together and let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
Add a pinch of salt, red velvet cake mix, and flour one cup at a time. Mix until you achieve a smooth dough.
Form the dough into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Once risen, roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 2-inch pieces.
To create the 'guts' look, slightly unroll each piece and arrange in a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
Cover with a towel and let rise for another 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze.
Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
